What is your definition of success?
As I experience the fullness that life has to offer, I've been presented with new and amazing challenges that my I couldn't have imagined. Success, for me, is an evolving matter... Success, is my willingness to continue tackling challenges and taking advantage of opportunities while continuing to stretch myself beyond what feels comfortable in an effort to grow both professionally and personally. I know that I've been successful when I've made my first million, am self employed, a successful wife & mother. That's not too much to ask, is it? One day I'll be 90 years old and I suspect that I'll be that charming older person that's lived life to its fullest...had 10 different careers...a collection of seemingly unrelated degrees, and all because I've been unafraid to pursue dreams and take risks that other people wouldn't have taken the risks to pursue.
Who do admire both personally and professionally?
I admire business people with the ability to successfully balance their personal and professional life--my CEO is one of the few truly successful business people that I've seen truly LIVE a life of balance.
What did you learn from the last season of The Apprentice?
I learned that hard core self-preservation brings out a level of aggression in human beings that otherwise would remain untapped.
What has been your biggest challenge in the pursuit of your career goals?
The biggest challenge that I've faced has been the need to continue transforming myself, like a chameleon, to have heightened opportunities as a female in a predominantly male business world.
If you had a super power, what would it be and why?
If I had a super power, it would be the ability to read people's minds. I've chosen the "ability to read people's minds" for two reasons: First, to have a competitive edge over my competitor; Secondly, I've found that few savvy business people really tell you what they're thinking. In business we've made an art of knowing how to politically "spin" any situation or response to a situation.
