"The Texas way of doin' things is doing 'em better than everyone else. The Texas way is the right way."

What is your definition of "success"?
While I do truly believe that success for each and every person is different, I will give to you what I think true success is. To put it plain in simple it is being happy with your life.

Each person has to meet their own goals of success, and when those goals are being pursued, that is when you can observe success. I have three goals I carry with me all the time, and I will only tell one to people. The other two are goals that only I need to know. This one goal would sum up my definition of success. I would like to receive an award for Man Of The Year! I consider this the biggest honor someone could receive. Striving for this award shows you are balanced, in what I consider the 5 most important elements of your life: Religion, Family, Friends, Career, and Community. If you strive for perfection in these five elements of your life, then I consider that success. I constantly push to see myself excel in each of these groups. I think being a balanced individual is what makes someone truly successful. Even if I never win this award I am constantly working towards this goal. These are 5 elements that will help me live a wonderful life, and that is success in my book.

Who do you admire most (personally and/or professionally)?
The people I admire most are the people that make decisions for the good of other people. I will sum up this general group of people with the two that have made the biggest impact on my life professionally, and personally. These two people are my parents Porky and Sue Hogg. Both of these people have excelled in everything they have done, and most importantly they have done it while raising a wonderful family, and making decisions that didn't always make it easy for them. Both of my parents are teachers, and they chose this because they are helping the youth of tomorrow. My father drives over an hour to get to a school where he feels he has the greatest impact on his students. My mother is truly concerned with the well being of her students, and wants them to learn. I look at this passion for a career, and I only wish everyone I knew had as much passion for their jobs as both of my parents do. They put their passion in the youth, and that is what makes them good people. I feel I have gained that passion for life, and my career through my parents. People always comment how fun the Hogg family is. Well is their any other option. We have been through rough times. We lost my Mom's parents, and brother to one drunk driver. Then in 2000 we lost my second oldest brother to another drunk driver. I don't say this for sympathy, but to show people you can make it through anything with people that love you. My parents exude that love for us all, and that is why we are all so fun and strong. I admire my parents, and I think I am not the only one.

What cartoon character do you most relate to and why?
I could take the easy way out and say Porky Pig because of my name, but that would be too easy. I would have to choose George Jetson, from The Jetsons for a couple of reasons. Anyone who lives in the future is my kind of person. I remember as a little kid watching the Jetsons thinking to myself, I want a robot as my maid, I want a machine that dresses me, I want an oven that prepares all the food at once, and who didn't want the car that George had. I guess I just wanted to live a life with other people doing the chores that I hate. I mean doesn't that sound great to everyone? The other reason I feel I relate to George Jetson is his relaxed lifestyle. George had a wonderful family, and truly the most exciting job anyone could ask for. He always would work himself out of the jam that was created, and it seemed like his boss (Mr. Spacely) was ready to give him a raise or promotion. George Jetson was an asset to Spacely Sprockets. Mr. Spacely trusted George, and George always pulled through. This is how I like to live my life at work, never knowing what to expect next, but somehow you always pull through. Oh did I forget to mention that his wife was completely one of the hottest things around? I guess I want to be George Jetson, mainly because of a crush I have had on Jane Jetson. I also had a crush on Betty Boop, is that weird? That is another story, another time.
