WORM WINE

For thousands of years the process of stomping on grapes has been used to make wine. Here at Fear Factor we decided to break tradition and replace the grapes with nightcrawlers. With her bare feet contestant Molinee Martillini squished and mashed thousands of worms to make her very own glass of worm wine.

FEAR FACTOR: What did it feel like putting your feet in the worms?

MOLINEE MARTILLINI: Right away I was pretty grossed out about the whole thing. As I put my feet inside the sludge of worms that was pretty, pretty yucky. They were sliding around my toes, alive. It wasn't that nice.

FEAR FACTOR: Did you ever think about quitting?

MOLINEE MARTILLINI: I wanted to kind of freak out at one point, I wanted to jump out or just freak out.

FEAR FACTOR: Why did you start to slow down towards the end?

MOLINEE MARTILLINI: I was getting pretty tired and I wasn't sure exactly, what the right technique was that would make it the fastest. I was worried that, because I was so tired and out of breath that maybe I wouldn't be able to drink it knowing that it was gonna be so gross.

FEAR FACTOR: Did drinking the worm wine make you want to throw up?

MOLINEE MARTILLINI: I drank a little bit and then I felt a worm actually slide down my throat and I was afraid I might have thrown it back up, so I had to stop real fast and take a breath and let it go.

FEAR FACTOR: What did the worm wine drink taste like?

MOLINEE MARTILLINI: The taste of the worm wine was a bit of dirt as well as some acidic-ness to it. I don't know if that was just me 'cause I did start to throw up at one point. I'm thinking maybe that might have just been my own acidic stomach coming back up. But the worm wine wasn't very good and it did not taste like a protein shake, like I had hoped.

FEAR FACTOR: In what way has drinking the worm wine affected you?

MOLINEE MARTILLINI: I'll tell you one thing. I don't think I will be celebrating my "Fear Factor" experience with a glass of wine.
