Fear Factor Conveyor Belt
Speed, accuracy, and a BIG MOUTH! Essential elements for success while a steady stream of Fear Factor's grossest items on 50 plates are flying at you on a conveyor belt. Pig uterus, cod egg sacs, super worms, and blended cow snout are the nasty items du jour. The ladies had to transfer these items using only their mouths to a scale. Here is what contestant Lisa Bingham had to say about it.
FEAR FACTOR: What was your first reaction when you were told about the stunt?
LISA BINGHAM: When I first saw the stuff, I was so grossed out. I
started trembling inside, 'cause it just looked so nasty. The little things
were slimy and crawling all over the place trying to get away. I'm
thinking, "I'm not puttin' that thing in my mouth." When I went down for
that white fish lava gut thing, I spit it back out 'cause there's no way I'm
gonna put a bunch of those in my mouth.
FEAR FACTOR: What was the worst item you picked up with your mouth?
LISA BINGHAM: The rubbery uterus was disgusting. The blended cow
snout had to be the most disgusting thing out there on that conveyor belt,
because it was just going up your nose and your mouth. The taste and the
smell, I mean, I just wanted to puke. I couldn't handle it. It was really
bad. And every time I was grabbing for the uterus I couldn't pick up any
more. I would grab it and try to go for more, open my mouth, but I'd lose
it.
FEAR FACTOR: What was your strategy for getting the most weight and
how well did it work?
LISA BINGHAM: My strategy was to try to find as much spinal cord as
possible, and uterus, which I did not see every time I went down. All I
remember was looking up and thinking, "This is gross. My strategy is not
working." 'Cause initially, I wanted to turn around, I wanted to freak the
girls out, show 'em how gross it was and just get to them now that I know
their weaknesses. I was looking at those plates, and there was nothing but
little worms and tiny bugs, and they looked so light, I'm like, "Where is my
pig uterus? Where is my spinal cord?"
FEAR FACTOR: Did you want to give up?
LISA BINGHAM: I was picking it up with my teeth, and going, "Ungh."
I remember pulling my head back and going, "Do not let this slide down your
throat." I was so grossed out by it. And the smell and the taste. Towards
the end, I was thinking, "I'm just gonna throw this pig brain right at Joe's
face and then I'll be done."
FEAR FACTOR: What did the different items taste like?
LISA BINGHAM: Nothing you've ever put in your mouth before. You
can't even compare it to anything. Mushy dog food, or rubbery hot dog, just
the smell is unbelievable. The brain was gross. I could have put more in
my mouth if I would have inhaled it and sucked it in like the other girls,
but not this baby. I'm goin' home with a clean mouth.
FEAR FACTOR: How traumatized were you by the conveyor belt?
LISA BINGHAM: It has to be the most disgusting thing that I have ever
tried. I've never put something so gross in my mouth before. I wanted to
vomit the whole time I was standing there. I felt sick. I was picking it
up with my teeth, and halfway through it, I wanted to give up. All I was
thinking was, "Please let this be over with. I want this done," and every
time I looked down, I couldn't find any spinal cord to give me some extra
weight. All I saw were bugs, and then I saw that big fish sac lying there.
I was not gonna suck that in my mouth. I'm gonna have nightmares about this
crap. I don't like touching gross stuff. I don't like gross things on my
body. It's just nasty. The smell is always gonna be in my mind.
