At Fear Factor Halloween is our favorite time of year and contestant Alexia Chiaromonte got tricked into having a treat she'll never forget.
FEAR FACTOR: What was it like putting a stink beetle in your mouth for the first time?
ALEXIA "LEXI" CHIAROMONTE: You're nervous and your mouth is dry and you just have no idea what a stink bug is going to taste like. I really did not want to be last because if everybody else completes this stunt and I can't do it somehow or it gets in my mouth and it grosses me out so much and I barf 'cause there's a possibility of vomiting or just completely quitting. And I am not a quitter. I had to go and eat 24 bugs and there was no way in hell that I was not going to accomplish that feat. They were disgusting and slimy and I won't even pick up a bug off the street or out of my house. I'm not afraid of them, but I don't sit around and play with bugs. And I certainly don't eat them for fun. So it was disgusting.
FEAR FACTOR: Did your dancing help you get the beetles down?
ALEXIA "LEXI" CHIAROMONTE: The dance was just to psyche myself to doing it as fast as I possibly could because I knew I had a time limit and I had to eat 24. So if I didn't finish eating 24 within a certain amount of minutes then I would be disqualified.
FEAR FACTOR: Why were you having so much trouble even picking up the stink beetles?
ALEXIA "LEXI" CHIAROMONTE: Picking them up was the hardest part for me. It was absolutely the hardest part. Because they were sick, all crawly. These things are all little and wiggly and some are bigger and some are fatter and you know they're going to be even more nasty. I just popped them in my mouth one at a time and just crunch, crunch, crunch, and swallow. I'm sure my breath reeked but I blocked out everything and I just did it.
