This season "Fear Factor" returns for its action-packed sixth year and continues to confound its competitors with the creativity and consistency that the network believed in when renewing the series for an additional season beginning with 2004-05 season - with options for two additional years. “Fear Factor” is NBC’s longest running reality show, this season will bring new themed episodes including, military, psycho, reality stars, celebrity, mother/son, family, and many more.

This season brings an all-new stunt team from such movies as, “Matrix,” and “Jurassic Park,” as well as new twists and new themes. Kunitz supervised the addition of a “Home Invasion” segment at the end of each episode where families from all over the country will be surprised by host, Joe Rogan, and will be challenged to “Fear Factor” stunts for the chance to win a $5,000 Capital One credit card.

The People’s Choice Awards again nominated “Fear Factor” “Favorite Reality Show Competition” in 2005. The show was nominated as “Best TV Show” at the 2004 and 2005 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, and in 2003 won the Teen Choice Award for “Grossest Reality TV Moment” and was again nominated in 2005.

Hosted by Joe Rogan, “Fear Factor” each week features new contestants recruited from across the nation who must decide if they have the guts and determination to face their most primal fears when confronted with a series of challenging stunts under the supervision of professional Hollywood stunt coordinators. In each pulse-racing episode, contestants compete against themselves, extreme challenges -- and each other -- in the hope of taking home a cash prize of $50,000 or more at the end of each episode.

Rogan -hosts “The Man Show” on Comedy Central, co-starred on the series “NewsRadio,” “Hardball” in addition to appearing in the specials “Caroline’s Comedy Hour,” “MTV’s Half-Hour Comedy Hour,” “Comedy from the Danger Zone,” “Keeping America Funny,” “Buster’s Happy Hour,” “Stand-Up Spotlight” and “Spotlight Cafe.” He recorded some of his standup comedy performances on his debut comedy album, “I’m Gonna Be Dead Someday,” for Warner Bros. Records.

“Fear Factor” is a production of Endemol Entertainment USA. The executive producers are Matt Kunitz and David Hurwitz.
