The International Rescue Committee
The International Rescue Committee is one of the largest providers of
humanitarian aid in Sudan and has worked there for more than 20 years. The
IRC delivers vital services to victims of the Darfur crisis in Darfur and
across the border in Chad, including critical health care, water and
sanitation services, education for children and specialized programs for
vulnerable women. Former ER star George Clooney and his father Nick
recently traveled with the International Rescue Committee to visit IRC aid
programs in Chad and Sudan and to interview some of the people who fled the
