What are the posts in the purple bar?
Posts from NBC moderators and/or guest hosts will appear in the purple bar.
How do I post?
Click the "post" tab right above the purple bar where the host posts are. Enter your thoughts into the space provided and click "post" to add to the social stream. You can share your post with friends on Facebook and Twitter - just check the box in the "post" pop-up to send to either community.
Where is my post?
There is a 30-second delay until your post appears in the social stream. If you don't see your post among the top five, click "expand to see more posts" to see everything.
What does "expand to see more posts" do?
NBC brings you the top five posts every 30 seconds. When you click on "expand to see all posts" (in the gray bar at the bottom of the social stream), you will see all posts for a given time period.
What are the "top posts"?
Every 30 seconds, NBC Live brings you the top five curated posts from the highest-rated fans. These fans have the most "likes" and "follows" from fellow fans and NBC community moderators. Your post will be highlighted in light purple and contain the words "your post."
What happens when I follow someone?
When you "follow" someone, that user is automatically added to your "follow" list under the "people" menu. If you want to see only posts from people you are following, click on the "filters" button and choose to see posts only from people "I am following."
How do I switch what time zone I'm in?
NBC Live automatically selects your time zone for you. However, if you want to switch time zones, click the "settings" button and change your time zone. You can only select one time zone at a time.
How do I see what people in other time zones are saying?
If you'd like to see what people from another time zone are saying about the show, just select that time zone in "filters." You must have at least one time zone selected.
How can I see all posts from the host?
To see all host posts, click on "see host posts" in the purple bar at the top of the social stream. When you want to switch back, click the button again.
Why don't I see the vote results right away?
NBC Live takes about 30 seconds to tally everyone's results. You'll see the results shortly thereafter.
I missed the results of the last poll. Is there a way to still see it?
Just beneath the slideshow area are two arrows that you can click to navigate back or return to the latest slide. The slides begin about 15 minutes prior to show time, too!
Why am I not seeing new posts?
There are a couple of reasons you may not be seeing new posts. One, your network signal may be low. Try finding a stronger signal to speed up the refresh of new posts. Two, you may have scrolled down too far in the social stream to see new posts. Try clicking on the gray "return to top" button in the bottom of the social stream. This will take you to the most recent posts.
How do I edit my myNBC profile/avatar?
Go to your myNBC profile page (my.nbc.com/accounts/login). Once you have logged in, click "edit profile" and then click one of your photos to use it as your avatar. Click on the "photos" tab if you would like to upload more photos to choose from.
Is there a limit to how many people you can follow/block?
There is no limit to how many people you can follow or block! Consider it your personally selected social stream.
Can you "like" and "flag" a comment at the same time?
No. You can either "like" or "flag" a particular comment, but not both.
