Live Tonight 9/8. Find out who moves on to next week's final!
As a sophomore at Black Hills State University studying exercise sciences, Taylor Neisen is an avid runner and enjoys yoga and Pilates. Taylor was named a finalist in the “Women’s Health” Magazine Fittest Friends competition, and was signed with world-renowned FORD Models.
Taylor is passionate about community service and is currently an official spokesperson for FocusDriven, where she has pledged to drive cell phone free. As a nanny, who often drives precious cargo, Taylor sees the need to always be "connected" as a growing concern for the safety of all drivers and passengers. She also dedicates her time to supporting the Made for Shade organization that promotes the importance of sun safety and skin protection. The organization raises money to purchase shade structures, shaded playground equipment and/or plant trees on public school playgrounds that provide shaded areas for children. Also, as the daughter of a breast cancer survivor, Taylor is eager to become more involved with the Susan G. Komen foundation, one of Miss USA's official partners.
She says she credits her successes to her humble South Dakota upbringing, where she began hiking and fishing at a young age with her dad and older brothers. Taylor loves the outdoors and recently picked up rock climbing as a hobby.
Taylor’s family likes to have odd challenges such as Pig Rodeos where you have to stay on a pig as long as you can.
Taylor’s family dog is a yellow lab hunting dog ironically named Barbie.
Taylor claims to be “freakishly flexible” and can but both of her legs behind her head and walk on her hands.
"It has been 37 years since a woman from the state of South Dakota has been called as a semi- finalist at MISS USA®, and never once has a South Dakotan been crowned Miss USA. I would love to make history on June 3rd!"
