I feel obligated to dedicate the first entry of 2010 to some trite New Year's Resolutions-making. I've been thinking for a week about what to resolve. Limit myself to just one measly cruller on Donut Mondays in the nurse's lounge? Curb my addiction to Bejeweled (the greatest online game ever)? Stop pressing the snooze button 50,000 times every morning?
But here's the fact, people: I don't want to. So instead of thinking about things I SHOULD do, here are a few things I would love to do. A wish list, if you will.**
Chloe's Wish List for 2010:
1. Go to Italy.
I'd start by checking out Michelangelo's David, the Sistine Chapel and several gelaterias, and end up riding on the back of a Vespa with a tall-dark-and-handsome Sicilian named Sergio.
2. Take Up an Artistic Hobby.
A couple of years ago, my friend Jeana remembered how much she enjoyed pottery class in school, and she started throwing clay again. Now she has an awesome side business... and a cabinet full of super cute bowls! BUT... what artsy endeavor would I take on? Photography? Knitting? Bedazzling? I'm serious about the last one.
3. Try Bar Method.
I keep hearing buzz about this: a workout that supposedly tones you within an inch of your life, IF you stick with it. Your muscles are actually supposed to shake. Everything tells me to run in the opposite direction. But I'm intrigued. I'm hardcore. Or I could be... in 2010.
Alright, cyber people, do you make New Year's Resolutions? What's on your wish list for 2010?
**Doing all three might not be possible. But don't tell me that right now.
