Originally from Illinois, Tara Locke is a procurement director in Miami Beach and a self-professed glamour girl. Yachting, shopping and clubbing activities are just a typical day in her life. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles and is very in-tune with her life of luxury and style. Regularly traveling the world for business and leisure, Locke is looking for a great man to call her own. She has a few requirements - he must be both successful and handsome. She admits that she is a professional flirt and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants.
Whom did you feel most connected to during the competition?
I connected more with the girls than the guys during the whole competition. Overall, the girls were more lively and I like surrounding myself with high-energy people.
Ultimately, are you happy the additional contestants were brought in to mix it up?
I was glad additional contestants were brought onto the show... it led to a grand party every day!
What behavior surprised you the most from the other contestants?
I was surprised to find out that if you take away the Internet, cell phones and all entertainment material from a group of people... everyone, legit, turns insane!
What was your favorite challenge and why?
My favorite challenge was when I jumped off the 45 foot cliff into the lagoon. Hell, I would free fall 100 feet just to get away from some of those guys.
Was there anything off-screen that you feel the audience missed out on?
The audience missed out on what I look like without cuts, bruises and mosquito bites.
Any fun anecdotes or run-ins with nature you'd like to share?
I always love being face-planted in dirt, rocks and sand in the scorching heat... you know, just a typical day.
What did you learn about yourself through this experience?
Through this experience, I realized that I value my independence and freedom too much right now, and that I would rather be single, mingle, and have fun!!
Why did you decide to take part in this show?
I decided to take part in this show because I liked the idea of a group of selected guys handed to me on a silver platter. Let's get real, I don't have a problem finding a guy... but it's difficult finding a diamond in the rough sometimes.
Would you call yourself an outdoorsy person? Why or why not?
I'm outdoorsy in that I like cruising on a yacht while sipping champagne. Dealing with bugs and dirt is not my idea of a fabulous time.
What are you afraid of?
I'm afraid of all insects, wild animals and anything less than first class.
What surprised you most about being in the jungle?
I was surprised that I didn't complain about getting dirty and that I really did put a lot of effort into every adventure.
What was the hardest thing for you to live without? What did you miss the most?
The hardest thing for me to live without while being on the island was my cell phone!! I almost died without it.
What would other people say are your best qualities?
My best qualities are that I'm very witty, a positive person, and I always know how to have a fabulous time!
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.
I never go on horrible dates. Guys know to roll out the red carpet for me.
What qualities do you find to be most important in your partner?
My partner must be a total alpha-male... career driven, witty, understanding to my sarcastic personality, treat me like a princess, and have fabulous plump lips. Smooch!
Describe your ideal date.
My ideal date implies a classy adventure, yet allowance for getting to know each other... like a hot-air balloon ride.
