Lindsay Furman seems to attract more male friends than female. It could be due to her love of football - which makes her incredibly competitive. Besides being afraid of scary movies, her greatest fear is growing old alone. She's searching for a witty man who can keep up with her. She remains busy around town planning fundraisers for Adopt-a-Pig Children's Charity of Philadelphia and Soccer Sisters United.
Furman attended Wesley College and currently works as a freelancer in marketing and event planning as well as a commercial model.
Whom did you feel most connected to during the competition?
I didn't feel connected to anyone. I mean I became friends with everyone from the show but romantically there was no one.
Ultimately, are you happy the additional contestants were brought in to mix it up?
Us coming into the mix as the last surprise was a little unexpected. We weren't very thrilled. It certainly wasn't an advantage. Especially because we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. But overall, we all have a bond that no one will ever understand but us.
What was your favorite challenge and why?
The damn challenge I had to do with Yanina and Ken. Just when I thought I was in shape. Clearly not. Being shackled up was the worst experience EVER. Because they had a couple challenges under their belt, they already were completely in sync with each other. Then here I come, the old ball and chain (literally) dragging behind them. But whatevs! We came in second so I obviously wasn't that bad.
Why did you decide to take part in this show?
At the time, I was looking for a connection in a different area code.
Would you call yourself an outdoorsy person? Why or why not?
No, unless you count tanning as an outdoor sport.
What are you afraid of?
All bugs and anything that's slime.
What surprised you most about being in the jungle?
How big it was.
What was the hardest thing for you to live without? What did you miss the most?
Warm water. We didn't have any.
What would other people say are your best qualities?
I would hope they say I'm a super down to earth girl. I get along with everyone I believe. But of course I do have my frisky moments.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.
When the guy forgot his card when he took me out to dinner. So I pretended I needed to use the restroom and left the restaurant. The guy should have been ashamed of himself. Hopefully he learned his lesson. I know I did.
What qualities do you find to be most important in your partner?
Trust, loyalty, love.
