Leo Borriello loves the ladies - and they love his six-pack and contagious smile. Borriello takes pride in his chiseled body, but there is more to this Italian financial analyst than just his good looks. He's looking for a woman who can keep up with him. He will shower his dates with wine and cheese while watching a beach sunset. Borriello is excited about a trip around the world and the possibility of finding a new love along the journey.
Borriello is a U.S. Navy veteran and will be graduating from Drexel University. He then plans to begin a two-year rotational program with a global financial services firm.
Whom did you feel most connected to during the competition?
Tara and Tim.
Ultimately, are you happy the additional contestants were brought in to mix it up?
Yes, I had fun and am happy how it worked out.
What behavior surprised you the most from the other contestants?
That none were as wild and crazy as I am; Tim and Christian were the closest runners up.
What was your favorite challenge and why?
Only did one and that was it.
Was there anything off-screen that you feel the audience missed out on?
Yes, they did not see who I hooked up with on the island, and the secret parties that I held... shhhh.
Any fun anecdotes or run-ins with nature you'd like to share?
I got cuts on the first adventure and had blood all over me as I finished. You will see it, haha.
What did you learn about yourself through this experience?
I am a strong competitor; I never give up, and I get it done.
Why did you decide to take part in this show?
I like getting involved with experiences that most people never get a chance to do, like the military or something legit in Hollywood. Also the idea of going to an island with a bunch of wild people and having an adventure with them is very appealing, plus I plan to take over the world so I need some exposure. :)
Would you call yourself an outdoorsy person? Why or why not?
I am a very outdoorsy person; I am always trail running in the woods, biking downtown in the city, hiking a mountain, kayaking in the ocean... I am down with anything outside.
What are you afraid of?
I am afraid of not caring about things I should and caring about things I shouldn't.
What surprised you most about being in the jungle?
Nothing, I knew I would enjoy it and I did!
What was the hardest thing for you to live without? What did you miss the most?
Music, iPod.
What would other people say are your best qualities?
They would say I am driven, organized, funny and goal-oriented.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.
I have never had a bad date... I know, weird.
What qualities do you find to be most important in your partner?
I need a considerate, sincere, caring person who also stands for strong morals and values but is not so hardheaded as to never compromise them when necessary.
Describe your ideal date.
Bottle of wine, mozzarella, olives, bread, oil, Billy Joel, candles, blanket, low/no wind, beach at sunset into big full moon.
