What behavior surprised you the most from the other contestants?
People stopped acting like themselves. That the guys were waiting for cues of interest from girls instead of bringing them aside one on one.

Who did you feel most connected to during the competition?
Not Erica.

Any fun anecdotes or run-ins with nature you'd like to share?
We saw a sloth at the cabins, which I hear is super rare.

What did you learn about yourself through this experience?
Two things: One, I take things too seriously and stress myself out. I need to just enjoy the moment and my time with people. Two, stay true to who I am and not be worried about what I think people want from me.

Why did you decide to take part in this show?
I really wanted to meet some awesome ladies while having a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Would you call yourself an outdoorsy person? Why or why not?
Yes, I do not spend as much time as I like outdoors because of work, but some of my favorite memories with friends and family are fishing, hiking or on a lake.

What is your biggest fear or phobia?
Ants. I hate the lil suckers and they are everywhere in Costa Rica.

What surprised you most about being in the jungle?
I was surprised by all of the wildlife and insects. On the first day I saw monkeys, boars, frogs, snakes and tons of insects.

What was the hardest thing for you to live without? What did you miss the most?
Friends and family, it was hard to stay grounded and true to myself being away for so long.

What would other people say are your best qualities?
My smile and laugh.

Describe the worst date you've ever been on.
I have to choose only one? First place goes to the girl who cried when I gave her a compliment because she wasn't used to guys being nice to her.

What qualities do you find to be most important in your partner?
Patience, heart, open-mindedness, energy.

Describe your ideal date.
Either waking up and having breakfast or lunch and then spending the day on a hike or a walk to a unfamiliar part of the city, hanging out and having fun and getting to spend some QT together. Have a planned surprise somewhere and finish it with a romantic picnic.

What was it like sharing a cabin with a total stranger?
For me, the ladies made it crazy and uncomfortable. It's a bed, not marriage or anything else.
