Hometown: Miami, FL; resides in Miami, FL
The youngest of his Cuban American family, Franky Arriola considers himself very assertive, ambitious and blessed to have such great looks. He maintains his looks by staying in shape and working out every day. His select dating criteria include women who are caring, supportive, sweet, good-looking, athletic and fun. Germaphobes and inked women need not apply.
Arriola attended Xavier University and currently works as a social media correspondent and stand-up comedian. He stays active and lures in potential dates by treating them to adventurous dates on the beach - boat riding or paddle-boarding. He also stays busy with his involvement in Best Buddies International and St. Jude's charities.
This hunk is confident he will succeed at winning any girl's heart.
Whom did you feel most connected to during the competition?
Tara and Ali (tie).
Ultimately, are you happy the additional contestants were brought in to mix it up?
Yes, I enjoyed being one of the "surprise guys" and being labeled as a troublemaker from the get go. Good times.
What behavior surprised you the most from the other contestants?
The guys were very catty with each other. I've never seen anything like it in my life.
What was your favorite challenge and why?
Opening day challenge. It was just one big surprise. We just got there and then had to embark on an all day journey from ocean to jungle and back. Madness.
Was there anything off-screen that you feel the audience missed out on?
Everybody was really great and not as awful as they come across on camera. Seriously, they're all nice people. I've maintained great friendships with everybody and we're constantly in touch. We've created a great support system. I'm grateful to have met so many amazing people. We're also in the process of scheming on some reunion trips too.
Any fun anecdotes or run-ins with nature you'd like to share?
I found a dead scorpion in my shoe and I freaked out, but luckily, I was by myself and not a camera in sight to catch me screaming in horror.
What did you learn about yourself through this experience?
Just go with it and have fun. Nothing else matters.
Why did you decide to take part in this show?
I love to travel and take chances in life. When I heard about this opportunity, I jumped at it. Most fun I've ever had. Happy that I did it. No regrets.
Would you call yourself an outdoorsy person? Why or why not?
Yes, I'm from Florida and take advantage of year-round sunshine. Anybody that tries to keep me indoors is my enemy.
What are you afraid of?
What surprised you most about being in the jungle?
The insane amounts of bug bites that you receive within 10 minutes. Bug spray is all a farce!
What was the hardest thing for you to live without? What did you miss the most?
My iPhone and my dog.
What would other people say are your best qualities?
Loyal, thoughtful, humorous and generous.
Describe the worst date you've ever been on.
Too many to give the number one ranking to. I guess that time that my dog threw up on my ex and she freaked out on me by running around hysterically. Moments later, she came back to me so I could help her look for her purse but my dog already beat her to it by peeing on it. That was the final nail in the coffin in our relationship.
What qualities do you find to be most important in your partner?
Loyal, confident, loving, independent, takes good care of herself, also has to love my friends and family too.
Describe your ideal date.
Just being able to hang out anywhere and not worry about the details. Just good times enjoying each other's company.
