Biography
Becki Newton currently stars as Annie in the new hour-long romantic comedy series "Love Bites" on NBC. Each episode will feature three loosely connected, modern stories of love, sex, marriage and dating.
Newton recently completed a four-year run playing Amanda on the Golden Globe Award-winning series "Ugly Betty." In addition, Newton appeared on the big screen opposite Jonathan Rhys Myers in "August Rush." She recently worked onstage with costar Michael Urie in the musical comedy "Michael and Becki IS Broadway."
In addition, Newton started her acting career as a child in Guilford, Connecticut, participating in local theater and musical productions. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in European history, Newton moved to New York City. She began working in television commercials, and quickly added numerous guest appearances and pilots to her resume.
Newton is fluent in Greek and Spanish. She resides in Los Angeles with husband Chris Diamantopoulos.
