Mastropietro Family
Doctor's Commentary
The Mastropietro family is a family so close that they won't speak in truth to each other. This is not uncommon for close families - they are tight, but still willing to let each other go down the wrong road in terms of their health. Michelle, their daughter, is the first to commit to cooking for the family and make the meals healthy. But it isn't so simple. She had a gastric bypass surgery already and knows what this entails. We have dad, Jimbo, who underwent gastric bypass also, and is now painfully back to square one. We have Mom, Agnes, obese and at risk with her cholesterol panel, mourning the loss of a son at one month and one day, who was just an infant when he passed - so she understands how precious life is for her and her family. Their son Michael is motivated to make a difference, for himself, and the family.
This is a family that needs the facts to wake up and do the right thing to save themselves and have the future together that they all look forward to.
