Benson and Stabler take on an abandoned baby case where a college-aged daughter of a local politician is the suspected mother. Ella, the brilliant and attractive 20 year-old suspected of abandoning a healthy baby boy, fiercely denies the SVU's strong allegations, but when a serious infection requires medical treatment, she lets her guard down and confesses to not one but two incidences of abandoning a newborn, the first resulting in the child's death.
