Three young girls enjoying a ride on a playground carousel suddenly jump off and flee from what appears to be their father, but when Tasha, the eldest, is struck by a car, the presumed guardian takes the youngest child and runs. Benson and Stabler question Tasha and conclude that Clark Corman, their supposed father, was instead a complete stranger to them and a high alert sex offender that used the chaos of hurricane Katrina to take the kids and flee to NY. With Nicki, the middle child, still missing, Cragen decides to give a partially fake story of a comatose Tasha to the press in order to solicit photos of the carousel scene.
