The girl's doctor warns that she will die if she gives birth without medical supervision. Benson and Stabler are led to her ex-boyfriend who seems genuinely surprised to learn she is pregnant. The man is now engaged to a rich woman, a staunch contrast to that of the poor life he and his ex used to lead.
