When a young girl claims she was raped by a man she met on the internet, Benson and Stabler set out to bring the man to justice. Though the girl admits later she was lying, the detectives still pursue the man as they fear he is preying on other young girls online. They soon realize their task is a difficult one for the laws governing the internet have not kept pace with the everchanging technology and are incredibly vague and ineffective.
