Sofia Vassilieva

A stunning talent with the commanding poise of an actress beyond her years, Sofia Vassilieva sets herself apart with her brace and intuitive performances.

She was most recently seen as a series regular in the long running NBC series "Medium," from creator Glenn Caron. Co-starring opposite Patricia Arquette, Sofia starred as Ariel DuBois, portraying a young girl that is struggling to balance her life as a teenager with her mysterious emerging inherited gifts. In 2006, she won a Young Artist Award for her work on the program.

Sofia also starred in the Warner Brothers film "My Sister's Keeper," directed by Nick Cassavetes, based on the best-selling novel by Jodi Picoult. She starred opposite Cameron Diaz, Alec Baldwin, Joan Cusack, Jason Patric and Abigail Breslin. Sofia's previous film credits include "Hurt" with Melora Walters, William Mapother and Jackson Rathbone, "Day Zero" with Elijah Wood, Ginnifer Goodwin, Chris Klein and Jon Bernthal, and "Inhabited" opposite Malcolm McDowell and Patty McCormack.

At Christmas time, Sofia can be seen as fun-loving Eloise opposite Julie Andrews in the classic Disney TV movies, "Eloise at the Plaza" and "Eloise at Christmastime." For this role, in 2004, Sofia was nominated for a Young Artist Award. Additional television credits include the iconic role of Cindy Brady in the FOX TV film "The Brady Bunch in the White House," opposite Shelley Long and Gary Cole.

At the age of seven she participated in the International Model and Talent Association (IMTA) Convention, where she competed and won many awards including "First Runner-Up Child Model of the Year" and the ultimate title, "Child Actress of the Year 2000." With this to her credit, she quickly caught the eye of casting directors and made her acting debut in the television series "The Agency," in a role where she played a granddaughter of a Russian general in scenes spoken in Russian.

Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents who emigrated from Russia to pursue their scientific university work, Sofia has lived all over the country and has traveled extensively around the world. She has rounded out her international interests by studying cultures and several languages, including Russian, French and Spanish. She also enjoys ballet, gymnastics, playing the piano and singing.

Sofia currently resides on the East Coast while she is attending college.
