Mprgan  Fairchild Morgan Fairchild was born in Dallas, Texas, where she quickly took to the limelight. She began performing on stage after her mother enrolled her in drama classes while in elementary school. After a series of children's plays, she began acting in dinner theater and stock productions being shot in Dallas.

In 1973, she decided to make a career of acting in New York City. Six weeks after her arrival, she landed the role of Jennifer in "Star for Tomorrow" and would stay on the show until 1977.

A year later, Morgan would move to Los Angeles and originate the role of Jenna Wade on the popular nighttime soap, "Dallas." She also made several television guest star appearances, but it was her breakout role in the movie "Flamingo Road" that earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress and made her into a household name.

Morgan continued to perform in live theater and make television appearances and had a solid role in the TV series "Falcon Crest" in the mid-'80s. Morgan also received an Emmy nomination for her guest role on "Murphy Brown" in 1988.

Recently, Morgan has been concentrating on her life as an author, sharing some of her beauty secrets in "Super Looks," along with exercise and diet tips. She is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force and an active speaker on environmental issues. She also helped found the Environmental Communications Office, which encourages the entertainment industry to become better educated on environmental issues.
