Mischa Barton was born in London, but raised in New York City. She started her career in theatre and had early success in film when she was featured in "Notting Hill," "The Sixth Sense," and "Lawn Dogs."

Despite her strong film resume, Mischa wouldn't become a household name until she made her debut in 2003 on the popular Fox series "The O.C." Mischa became a sought-after name and was named 2003's "It Girl" by Entertainment Weekly.

After she left "The O.C." in 2006, Mischa would go back to acting on film, garnering parts in 2007's "Closing the Ring" and "Virgin Territory" and 2008's "Assassination of a High School President." Most recently, she starred in 2009's "Walled In" and "Homecoming."
