Lori Singer
Singer first shot to fame when she was cast as cellist Julie Miller in the TV series "Fame." She also starred in the classic film, "Footloose."
After "Footloose," Singer starred in films, including "The Falcon and the Snowman" (directed by John Schlesinger and starring Sean Penn) and "The Man with One Red Shoe" (with Tom Hanks). Her role in "Trouble in Mind" earned her a nomination for Best Female Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards. Singer and the cast of "Short Cuts" won the award for Best Ensemble Cast at the 50th Venice International Film Festival and the 51st Golden Globe Awards. In January 2008, Singer performed at Carnegie Hall.
