Jaclyn Smith was born in Houston, Texas and had originally aspired to be a professional ballerina. In 1973, those dreams fell curbside as the spotlight found her when she became a Breck shampoo model.
In 1976, Jaclyn was offered a role on a TV pilot called "Charlie's Angels." The pilot turned out to be an instant hit and was picked up as a television series for ABC. Jaclyn stuck with the series for its entire five-year run.
Jaclyn would later go on to find television success in a string of TV movies including "Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy," "The Bourne Identity," "Rage of Angels," and "Windmills of Gods."
She has also maintained a successful clothing line for K-Mart since 1985 and often serves as the company's spokesperson.
