Executive Producers

Peter Jankowski

Peter Jankowski is president and chief operating officer of Wolf Films Inc., headquartered in Universal City, California, where his responsibilities include both the creative and administrative operations of the company. Jankowski also serves as executive producer on the television series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," as well as the newest addition to the brand, "Law & Order: Los Angeles" (LOLA). Jankowski also served as executive producer on the history-making original "Law & Order."

In 2003 he produced the World Trade Center tribute "Twin Towers," which won the Academy Award for best documentary short. He also produced "When You're Strange," a documentary about Jim Morrison and The Doors, which premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and made its international debut a month later at the 2009 Berlinale Festival in Berlin, Germany. The film's airing on PBS' acclaimed American Masters Series garnered a 2010 Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Nonfiction Series.

Before joining Wolf Films in 1997, Jankowski served as senior vice president of Universal Television, where he was responsible for all series produced under that banner, which included "Northern Exposure," "Quantum Leap," and "Coach."He produced 12 films with the Hispanic Film Project (of which he was president from 1990-1993), and currently serves on the board of the Hollywood Radio & Television Society.

Jankowski was raised in Weston, Connecticut. He attended The College of the Holy Cross, receiving his bachelor of arts. He and his wife, Linda Caruso, live in Los Angeles where they are raising their two sons, Sam and Luke.
