Jennifer Lawrence Late Night with Seth Meyers

Wednesday Recap - Jennifer Lawrence, Alan Cumming, Little Daylight

There was no shortage of laughter or tongue-in-cheek humor when Jennifer Lawrence and Alan Cumming visited Late Night on Wednesday. Plus, Brooklyn band Little Daylight performed.

Seth took a moment to acknowledge the unofficial holiday occurring in New York this time of year - Fleet Week, which he assumed will soon be followed by Penicillin Week. Elsewhere in the round-up, hero cat Tara the tabby threw out the first pitch at a baseball game; golfer Rory McIlroy broke off his engagement with tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki only days after sending out wedding invites; and a man was caught masturbating at Starbucks. Find out what it means to "frap" his "cino" and hear more from Seth's monologue here.

Turns out sharing a network with The Voice has inspired Fred to branch out into creating his own music competition show: The Battle of the Wizards of Ozes. Fred revealed to Seth it will feature costumed contestants competing against each other, but they can only dress as either the Scarecrow or the Tin Man. Which stars will be joining Fred as judges on the show? Click here to find out.

With the U.S. indicting five Chinese military hackers, Seth was looking to read more about how media outlets were breaking the news, hence the segment How They Reported It. As can be expected, the New York Post took a pun-derful approach, going with the title "Hackers Bring America to Their Chi-knees." Check out more headlines here.

In the world of professional wrestling, there's a wrestler who serves as the heel - the bad guy who antagonizes the other performers. Borrowing from this concept, Late Night decided to introduce its own heel, Stink Mouth PigMan. The wrestler came out onto the set and immediately started heckling the audience and the host, shouting, "Shut up, Seth Millionaire Coward Meyers," before declaring, "We should lower the minimum wage to 0 and set the retirement age to never." See more of what Stink Mouth PigMan had to say:

Coming off of her third Oscar nomination, Jennifer Lawrence shared some behind the scenes details of her evening during the awards ceremony, like calling Brad Pitt over to introduce him to her best friend and attending Madonna and Guy Oseary's post-party so drunk she ended up puking on his porch. The actress also shared tales of going to the bathroom in her Mystique costume and how she considers bashing her brothers in the media payback for what they did to her as a child. Alan Cumming's appearance on Late Night quickly devolved into a discussion about his Cabaret character's most defining trait: the swastika tattoo on his butt. The Scottish actor, who is returning to the Broadway role 20 years after first playing it, divulged he often found himself having to explain the temporary ink to lovers and during doctors visits. In addition, Cumming also chatted about how hard it was for him to keep the secret of his The Good Wife co-star Josh Charles' exit from the show. In fact, he often spilled the beans anyway. Find out whom Alan told ahead of time here and hear more from his interview here:

Brooklyn trio Little Daylight - Nikki Taylor, Matt Lewkowicz and Eric Zeiler - made their television debut on Wednesday's episode of Late Night, performing the single "Overdose." The group's latest album, Hello Memory, is available for pre-order via iTunes. Check out their performance here.
