Late Night with Seth Meyers kicked off the week with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, Kyle MacLachlan and Karmin.

Seth’s monologue ripped stories from the headlines including Jimmy Carter’s fear of e-mails, eating cigarettes and a Spice Girls/Backstreet Boys collaboration. Watch it in its entirety for more.

After welcoming Susanna Hoffs to the 8G Band, Fred talked about his new charity for pets to learn how to shake hands with each other. But no tricks here, we’re talking a very proper, very polite handshake. Watch here to find out how he plans on making this happen.

Seth told us a story about how he had to retake his driver’s license, and had an immediate run-in with the law. Watch for the details.

Kathy and Hoda came out first, and talked about their origins of hosting Today together.  They also touch on how drinking became a thing on the show, and it not only brought them together, but Kathie Lee recently launched her own wine, Gifft. Kyle MacLachlan was the next guest, and talked about tackling the unfamiliar improvisational approach to Portlandia. After discussing Twin Peaks and how it would do in today’s television landscape, Kyle talked about the NBC series Believe that he stars in, and how he loves complex characters and a cinematic approach to television. Karmin closed out the night with a performance of their song “I Want it All” off of their freshly released Pulses album.
