VIEWER VOTING RULES FOR THE LAST COMIC STANDING “COMIC COMEBACK” COMPETITION

Voters must note that all of the following rules and procedures are subject to change at the sole discretion of Universal Television LLC (“Producer”).

Comic Comeback Overview

Comic Comeback is an online head-to-head competition among comics eliminated from Last Comic Standing Season 8 (the “Program”), for an opportunity to perform a comedy set in the finale episode of the Program.  Fan voting via Twitter decides the winner.

Comic Comeback starts when the semifinals round of Last Comic Standing Season 8 has concluded. The semifinals studio audience selects two comics eliminated from the Program's semifinals round to go head-to-head in Round 1 of the Comic Comeback competition.

Following the second semifinals episode airing June 19, 2014, videos of online-only performances for the two comics in Round 1 of Comic Comeback are posted on NBC.com/Comic-Comeback. You can vote for your favorite comic on NBC.com by clicking the “vote” button for your favorite comic (which generates an automatic tweet after you log into your Twitter account), or by logging onto Twitter directly and creating a tweet that counts as a vote, as described more fully below.

Each week thereafter, the comic with the most valid votes at the end of that week’s Voting Period (as defined below) will move forward to the next round of Comic Comeback to face off against a comic eliminated in the following week’s episode. There are five rounds total; the comic who wins the head-to-head matchup in the fifth round is the winner.

To make sure your vote counts, follow the “Voting Availability” and “How to Vote” instructions below.

1.        Voting Availability:

The single voting method ("Voting Method") for submitting votes in the Comic Comeback competition is online voting through Twitter, accessible through your Twitter account or through NBC.com, as described more fully below.

Voting is available to any person with a valid Twitter account during the following voting periods (each a “Voting Period”):

Round 1: June 19, 2014 at 10:55 PM ET to June 25, 2014 at 12:00 PM PT.
Round 2: June 26, 2014 at 10:55 PM ET to July 9, 2014 at 12:00 PM PT.
Round 3: July 10, 2014 at 10:55 PM ET to July 16, 2014 at 12:00 PM PT.
Round 4: July 17, 2014 at 10:55 PM ET to July 23, 2014 at 12:00 PM PT.

Round 5: July 24, 2014 at 10:55 PM ET to July 30, 2014 at 12:00 PM PT.

The matchups change each week based on Program eliminations and Comic Comeback fan voting results from the prior week. To find out which comics are competing in any given round, go to NBC.com/Comic-Comeback during that round.

If you attempt to vote outside of a defined Voting Period, or if you attempt to vote for a comic who is not competing within a particular Voting Period, your vote will not count.

In each round, there is a limit of: one (1) vote per comic per valid Twitter account during that round’s Voting Period.  Producer reserves the right to change the limit on the number of votes that may be made in the Producer's sole discretion.

2.  How to Vote:

How to Submit Your Vote via the NBC.com Website:  You will need a valid Twitter account to vote via the NBC.com website (if no account exists or you are not signed in a Twitter power modal window will be presented). To vote via the NBC.com website during any Voting Period, go to NBC.com/Comic-Comeback, watch the competing comics’ videos, and click the “vote” button for the comic receiving your vote.  You will be prompted to log in to your Twitter account; once you are logged in, you’ll be provided with a prepared tweet that will count as a vote for that comic, or you can create your own text in the space. If you create your own text, it must contain the hashtag #ComicComeback and a keyword consisting of the first name or #[first name] of the comic competing in that round whom you have selected to receive your vote. There must be a space between the hashtag and the keyword for your vote to count. You must then select “[Tweet]” for your vote to be posted to Twitter and to count as a valid vote.  To participate in this vote, you must have your Twitter account set to public.

How to Submit Your Vote via Twitter:  To vote via Twitter during any Voting Period you will need a valid Twitter account (visit Twitter.com to register for an account).  After watching the competing comics’ videos on NBC.com, log in to Twitter and cast your vote for your favorite comic in the applicable round of Comic Comeback by tweeting the hashtag #ComicComeback and a keyword consisting of the first name or #[first name] of the comic receiving your vote. To find out the comics competing in the current round and the correct spelling of their first names, go to NBC.com/Comic-Comeback. There must be a space between the hashtag and the keyword for your vote to count.  The keyword and the hashtag do not need to be near each other in the tweet. To participate in this vote, you must have your Twitter account set to public.

General: Only public tweets that comply with these instructions will be counted as votes. Misspellings will not be counted. There is a limit of one (1) vote per comic per valid Twitter account during each Voting Period.

Retweets during any round’s Voting Period of any tweet that complies with all other listed voting rules will be accepted as votes cast by the Twitter ID that retweets (but not for the original Twitter ID tweeting the vote). Check the official @NBClastcomic Twitter feed at the start of each Voting Period for a list of vote tweets available for retweet purposes.

A Twitter vote will only count if it is public and is cast during a Voting Period and includes #ComicComeback and the correctly spelled first name or #first name of a comic competing in that Voting Period, with at least one space separating them.

Visit NBC.com/Comic-Comeback during a Voting Period or check the official @NBClastcomic Twitter feed at the start of each round to confirm the comics competing in the current round and their correctly spelled first names.

You may not use any third party services to vote on your behalf. The Administrators (defined below) reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to reject votes cast by any individual who tampers with the voting process or acts in a disruptive manner.
