Stuart P. Whitehurst

Stuart P. Whitehurst has over 26 years of experience in the field of fine and decorative arts, and has been with Skinner, Inc. since 1995. While currently in the Boston, Massachusetts area, he has worked for auction houses based in New York and Chicago.
Stuart is a renowned senior generalist appraiser with extensive knowledge of English, American and European decorative works of art and furniture from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, as well as prints, paintings, books and manuscripts. Stuart has been a favorite appraiser on the PBS series "The Antiques Roadshow" since its premiere in 1997 and regularly conducts appraisal days, lectures and benefit auctions for educational and charitable organizations. Stuart has appeared on numerous New England radio and television programs and on national programs including "The Today Show," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," HGTV's "At the Auction," and National Public Radio's "Weekend Edition."
Stuart, a proud graduate of the University of Virginia, is a senior auctioneer at Skinner, Inc. and a member of the Massachusetts Auctioneer's Association.
