Gayle Evans (Elisa Donovan)
As the default cure-all for every problem under Maple Grove's sun, Gayle's vocation as a local insurance agent has, over time, morphed into something well beyond what's described in the American Family Insurance training manual. From helping the high school football coach rethink his motivation strategy to being a new small business owner's guinea pig client, her open-door policy and sound advice has earned her the nickname "Go-To Gayle" by the thankful citizens of Maple Grove.

Kyle and Kim Kaminski
(Joel Gelman, Ginger Gonzaga)
(Joel Gelman, Ginger Gonzaga)
The Kaminskis tied the knot last December, and marriage thus far has been - to use Kyle's words - "like skydiving through a hail storm, a thrill ride of euphoric bliss that stings the whole way down." Despite their unremitting love and commitment, the young couple has struggled to adapt to their new domestic dynamic, unveiling pet peeves they never knew existed. Now seven months pregnant, the Kaminskis marital squabbles and general ineptitude in life have reached record highs.
The Monroes (James McCauley, Courtney Rackley, Allie Carieri)
If Maple Grove gave out awards for nicest family and most annoying family, the Monroes would have two trophies on their mantle. As the only clients of Gayle's who remove their shoes to protect her carpet, the Monroes bring new meaning to politeness. Driven by constant guilt and incessant self-blame, the family can't open an umbrella without assuming they themselves caused the rain. And to the surprise of no one, daughter Rebecca's ringtone is One Republic's "Apologize."
The Andersons (Todd Waring, Sarah Taylor, Darian Weiss)
After the recent passing of their Aunt Ellen, the Andersons are adapting to a new lifestyle - one that now includes a $12 million inheritance. Despite boasting they're still the "same down-to-earth people," they now indulge in diamond-encrusted ink pens, solid gold sculptures of their own busts, and their newest purchase, a fully functioning alpaca farm nestled deep within the Peruvian Andes. Meanwhile, the Andersons 16-year-old son Dylan often finds himself facing that quintessential adolescent dilemma - the Mercedes or the Porsche?
Coach Reynolds (Frank Crim)
Coach Reynolds is the pride and joy of the Maple Grove High School football team. Wearing his uniform everyday - even to his wedding - only begins to depict his heartfelt dedication to the squad. He's on an endless quest, finding new ways to motivate the team - and once those magical words are discovered, his boys might just win a game. Until then, Maple Grove's three-year winless streak continues. When he's not on the sidelines, Coach Reynolds can often be found on barstool seven at Nelson's.
Drake LaBouche (Jeremy Rowley)
Maple Grove's only other insurance agent, Drake LaBouche takes a vastly different approach to his trade. For Drake, it's all about the bottom-line benjamins, as his world measures success by volume and fiscal bonuses for top earners. Drake probably couldn't tell a client their full name if he saw them on the street, and he once denied his own aunt's claim because she mistyped her date of birth. His self-imposed rivalry with Gayle has now reached new heights, as Drake dramatically unveils his master plan to bring her down once and for all.
Denny Potter (Creed Bratton)
Nicknamed "The White Whale" by frustrated Maple Grove merchants, Denny Potter is a proud recluse with very little need for society. He grows his own tomatoes, threads his own dishtowels, and even makes his toilet paper from recycled papyrus leaves, which he grows in his backyard, of course. Denny is a lifelong resident of the outskirts of town and swells with pride any time he can give folks a look that exclaims, "I don't need your help."
Andrew Stillman (Jonathan Spencer)
A bit of an oddity from birth, Andrew never exactly sat at the cool kids table at school. His social ineptitude and quirky sensibilities have led him to a rather solitary life filled with voracious reading, gourmet cooking-for-one, and daily walks through Maple Grove with his pal Digsby, a healthy-coated golden retriever. For Andrew, Digsby is the best friend he'll never have, the son or daughter he'll never raise and the soul mate he'll never find. But when the dog is by his side, Andrew is the happiest man on Earth.
Emergency Road Service Guy
(Marcus Choi)
(Marcus Choi)
Every town needs a hero to swoop in during a roadside crisis, and the pastoral Maple Grove is no exception. Citizens seldom panic when a tire blows, an engine stalls or the only set of keys finds itself locked inside, as help and rescue are only a phone call away.
Lauren, Meghann and Jill (Kristen Ariza, Carey Peters, Elaine Kao)
Think "Sex and the City" Maple Grove style. Gayle's girlfriends are successful businesswoman in town and her primary source for female bonding. Lauren inherited her Petals, her mother's flower shop, Meghann manages the local stationary store on Scatterfield Avenue, and Jill - well, no one (including her) is quite sure what she does. The quartet of lifelong friends cherish their weekly lunch dates and continuously point potential customers in each other's direction whenever possible. Again, except for Jill.
Beth (Mary Gross)
A stranger to the norms of everyday life on planet Earth, Beth recently decided to follow her dreams and open a local hair salon. And one day she may even learn the difference between a brush and a comb. Despite a genuine eagerness to serve her clientele, her lack of experience and dexterity overrides her overzealous passion for bangs, curls, and perms. And her rampant short-term memory loss routinely has her cutting clients' hair twice in one sitting.
Charlie Evans (Shane Cambria)
Eight-year-old Charlie enjoys reading, eating bacon and inventing outlandish characters with his Dad. He's developed a fleet of original personas, each with their own voice, mannerisms and attitude. These "multiple personalities," as his second-grade teacher Mrs. Utterback calls them, never fail to entertain his classmates and make unexpected cameos at Evans' dinner parties.
Mike Evans (Brian Palermo)
Gayle's affable husband Mike is a guy's guy to the core, complete with a closet full of old baseball cards, biweekly poker night with the boys and a basement tailor-made for Super Bowl parties. As a former Maple Grove High School class clown and homecoming king, Mike's jovial disposition brings little stress into the Evans household. He is and forever will be an innocent and playful kid at heart.
Jack Stumpfl (Kirk Fox)
Jack Stumpfl co-founded Two Guys Plumbing with his brother Roy in 1994. Since 2002, business has been booming, largely due to Jack's brief brush with fame as a contestant on the hit game show "Billionaire or Plumber?" Roy left the company in 2007 to turn his Doggie Deodorant idea into a reality, while Jack remains the go-to guy for every leaky faucet and clogged toilet in Maple Grove. In 2010, Jack and his plumbing colleagues formed the rock band The Plungers, and recorded their first single, "I'm A Leader." Since then it's just been plumbin' all day, partyin' all night.
