John Salley is a 15-year NBA veteran, and was the first NBA player to win four championships with three different teams that included the Detroit Pistons, the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Following his retirement in 2000, Salley explored opportunities in both television and film. His feature-film credits include the Jerry Bruckheimer film "Confessions of a Shopaholic," "Bad Boys," "Bad Boys II," and "Eddie." On television, he appeared in the Christmas movie "Naughty or Nice" featuring George Lopez.

Salley recently concluded a seven-year stint serving as the co-host of the Emmy Award-nominated, critically acclaimed "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" and was also the host of the cable series "Ballers." Additionally, he serves as one of the hosts for the series of specials "Shaken Not Stirred.A Celebrity Toast" and has hosted the "Southern Sports Awards," the CTPAA (Cable TV Public Affairs Association) Beacon Awards show and the CTAM (Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing) Mark Awards.

On radio, Salley had his own morning radio show, "The John Salley Block Party," that aired in Los Angeles on 100.3 "The Beat." He is also the head of his own production company, Black Folk Entertainment, and has many television and film projects currently on the slate. Salley and his brother Jerry together head the Salley Foundation, and he is involved with several important causes including raising awareness to the AIDS pandemic by working in conjunction with VH1 and The Global Fund, Operation Smile and PETA.

Recently, Salley discovered a love for racing after participating in the 2007 and 2008 Toyota Grand Prix Celebrity Race and the Gillette Young Guns and Superstars series. With a passion for food, wine and coffee, Salley has contributed articles to Wine Spectator, Cigar Aficionado and LA Confidential.
