The battle quickly spills out of the Bowman's trailer and into the courtyard. It's dark back here, especially since Pearl shattered all the lights. Mulligan rolls behind Mrs. Comey's trailer, taking a minute to collect himself. He's been fighting hard, and he's winded. Rewinding time takes a lot of energy, and right now he's stuck on fast forward and shorting out. He has a good bead on Chris and Bo's abilities, but he's never come up against Pearl before, so she's a bit of a wild card. One thing he does know for sure - they're all three dead set on taking him out, and desperate to preserve the only real family they've ever known. Anything could happen.

"How you doin' Mulligan?" Chris calls out. "You ready to lose the hat and start fighting like a man?"

Spying a heavy waffle iron in the dirt, Mulligan angles it around the corner of the trailer like a mirror, looking for even a tiny reflection that might pinpoint the position of his attackers. Is that Chris?
