And the Bad Side
Chris and Gail are arguing about the Carnival again. "Haven't these past few days shown you that we're not in danger anymore?" Gail demands hotly.
"Things are changing Gail," Chris says in a low voice. "Samuel's changing. It's not safe here for you me, or Jennie. We're being blackmailed--"
"And what? You think it's safe for us out there! Have you forgotten why we're being blackmailed?"
Unable to bear her parents' arguing, Jennie starts crying. She's so upset that with each sob, flame and smoke pour from her eyes.
"Stop fighting!" she yells, then stamps her feet in frustration and runs off.
Chris and Gail look at each other guiltily as Jennie disappears into the crowd. They're just about to follow when The Watcher steps in front of them.
"You've been ignoring my phone calls," he says menacingly.
