The Good Side
Another day of work at the Carnival. With no word from The Watcher, Chris and Gail have enjoyed a few days of relative peace.
"Daddy!" Jennie exclaims. "Look what I can do now!" Chris and Gail watch as Jennie puffs out a fireball. "I did it! I did it!"
"Jennie, that was wonderful!" Gail says, hugging Jennie. "You've been practicing."
Chris spies Amanda staring at his family with deep longing. He catches her eye and smiles, inviting her to join in, but Caleb leads her away. If he wasn't loathe to be back on Samuel's radar, Chris would make sure to keep Caleb away from Amanda. Nothing that man does has a pure motive.
