Regaining Consciousness

You are punching a half-conscious gang member, over and over, when you come to your senses.

The gang member stumbles back from you. You both stare at each other, breathing hard. You feel your forehead. Blood.

"What just happened, man?" the gang member says, hoarsely.

Around you, groaning bodies and smashed furniture cover the floor of a long, grimy hallway. It's dark: evening. Light flashes behind you: headlights. You turn. Through the broken front door you can see steps, a trash-littered front lawn, and a car pulling out the driveway.

It all comes flooding back to you. You were sent to this building to search the former apartment of a Primatech escapee named Red Eye. Jeremy Woo from the Intelligence Division had hoped Red Eye left something behind. But Red Eye and his companion, Anna, were here when you arrived. The last thing you remember was being hit with Red Eye's "primal rage" ability.

Red Eye!

You shake the fog in your head away and run out onto the front lawn. The car is disappearing down the street, tires screeching at the corner. Your own car sits nearby. You jump in and tear off after Red Eye.
