A Farm in New York State
"The Kill Squad attacked this facility two days ago," Jeremy Woo says. "But something feels wrong."
"Uh, yeah," Tim Pope says. "Two wounded agents and a missing prisoner. That's what feels wrong."
"Besides that," Woo says.
"We're wasting time talking," Marie Dunn says.
The four of you are standing in a corn field in upstate New York. It's cold: your breath puffs in front of your face. Tim Pope looks impatient, just the way that you imagined that the head of Primatech Executive Service's Command Division would look. Marie Dunn is still in SWAT gear, her Operations tactical team roaming around the nearby farm house. Jeremy Woo, the head of PES's Intelligence Division, looks distracted.
"Here's the deal," Woo says. "A few hours ago, this detention facility missed a 48-hour check-in. We sent a tactical team over and found two agents, badly hurt. The prisoner was missing."
"Tell me about the prisoner," you say.
"Ricardo Silva, codenamed Red Eye," Pope says. "Biochemist, researcher, part-time professor. He manifested in a Primatech lab, killed a few people. Level 5 and detention facilities ever since."
"What's his ability?" you ask.
"Primal rage. In other people. Turns them on each other like a dog fight," Pope says.
"The Kill Squad underestimated him. He got away," Dunn says. "So we should be out there hunting for them."
"Give the contractor a chance to look around," Woo says. "I want to see what fresh eyes might turn up."
"Fine," Pope says. "Go take a look."
"We're wasting time," Dunn says. But she steps aside to let you pass.
