Earth Week 2012

At NBC.com we commit ourselves to the principles of sustainability day in and day out. But during Earth Week each spring, we encourage our associates to come together to offer some of their own ideas on how we can tread just a little lighter on our planet. We also use the occasion to share some of our favorite recent clips from NBC shows and Jay Leno's Garage. We're also pleased to bring you helpful info from Green is Universal, our company-wide initiative aiming at raising awareness and making a difference.

Our Green is Universal initiative translates our environmental commitment into action. It identifies ways to "walk the talk" and integrate sustainability across our span of businesses, in front of the camera as well as behind it. Whether identifying opportunities for energy savings and innovation in production and distribution, educating our consumers via environmentally themed programming on our airwaves, reducing the carbon footprint of our DVDs and products, or activating and engaging our workforce, NBCUniversal is hard at work mobilizing our assets to protect the planet.

This year, we're featuring a new campaign called ONE SMALL ACT, a simple way for consumers to make their lives a little greener and to encourage their friends to do the same.
