Coach drives to work listening to the radio as the commentator discusses the East Dillon Lions' upset win in the previous week's game. In their office, the assistant coaches check out the newspaper coverage of the victory, discussing the fact that East Dillon is sure to get ranked now. Coach arrives and gets frustrated with his assistants' preoccupation with the rankings, irritably asking if they've chalked the field yet. Meanwhile, in the cafeteria the Rally Girls pull the players' jerseys. A cute redhead, Maura, pulls Vince's, but he takes it from her to give to Jess. Becky gets Tinker's jersey.
