Friday Night Lights

A sweltering August day begins with Vince and Luke on a training run, Tinker driving beside them eating breakfast. Julie chats on the phone with her soon-to-be new college roommate. Meanwhile, Buddy Garrity talks big about the Lions on the radio as Coach Taylor's assistants listen. Irritated, Coach walks in, tells them to turn off the radio, and reprimands them for not being on top of things since they have a game in three days. Outside Dillon, Billy visits Tim in jail. Tim has three months until he gets out (early for good behavior). Billy floats the idea of maybe coaching football, which gets a lukewarm response from Tim. Billy thanks Tim again for taking the fall for his family, and tells Tim that he really wants to change his life. Tim tells Billy that he doesn't have to visit so often and asks him to tell the same to Becky.
