Bringing Sexy Back to Vegas!

Viva Las Vegas! After a long weekend (okay, almost a full week!) filled with debauchery, dirty martinis, Cirque du Soleil, parties in the Elvis Suite, and sexy people bringing home Emmy statues, I've made it back in one piece to talk about what we all really care about on the red carpet: the fashion! I always love to see what everyone's wearing and what the trends are for the season. A huge trend I noticed was a lot of nude tones and metallic colors on the carpet. I guess when people think of Vegas, they think naked and glitter! Nothing wrong with that... I'm personally a fan of all the gold, silver and sparkles happening on the carpet. I absolutely loved the champagne and gold dress on Beth Chamberlin, and the silver dress that looked like it had been poured onto Kelley Menighan-Hensley.

There was also a major trend towards very short cocktail dresses, revealing a lot of skin... I'm guessing people wanted to cut right to the chase and get to the Vegas parties as quickly as possible without changing. A trend I LOVED on the carpet was the young girls dressing in old Hollywood glamour. Shelley Hennig looked gorgeous in vintage-looking Lloyd Klein, giant Glynneth B earrings, and a Christian Louboutin clutch. Very chic. Molly Burnett channeled Veronica Lake in a long black Tony Ward gown - chic and classy. Lexi Ainsworth looked dynamite as kind of a baby Audrey Hepburn, even though she's too young and pretty for all that make-up... and that's a compliment! And Emily O'Brien looked smashing, conjuring a flashback to young Elizabeth Taylor. Well done ladies! I have to give a special WOW to Gretta Monahan who was baby bump perfection in her poured-on Oscar de la Renta vintage gown. Hope I look that good when I'm preggo!

The men were looking hot, too. Some were unapologetically Vegas, but I'm gonna have to say I particularly LOVED Brandon Beemer, not only cause he's the hottest man on Earth, but because his J. Lindberg tux, Paul Smith shirt, and Giorgio Armani tie were perfection - and coincidentally, he matched me! I also thought Billy Miller, Scott Clifton, Jon Hensley, Michael Park and Zack Conroy were very dashing. Loved the three-piece suit Zach was wearing... very bold and beautiful. Wow, did I really just say that?! Ha ha!

To sum it up, the Daytime Emmys in Sin City certainly brought the sexy back...
