Marlena finds John at the Horton cabin sleeping next to Kristen on the couch. She tries to remain calm as Kristen and John explain what happened - how she was already out here when he arrived and missed her ferry. Marlena is dubious. Later, Marlena tells John she thinks Kristen set the whole thing up and is upset when he defends Kristen. He is beginning to believe she is trying to bury the past and move on, but Marlena won't buy it. John and Marlena leave Smith Island on opposite sides of the fence.
