Nick's parole hearing appears to have concluded when suddenly, unbeknownst to the people in the waiting room, Melanie has shown up wanting to speak. At first, she is thrown to see Nick, and when she starts to speak, she is hit with bad memories and runs out, not having given any testimony at all.
