Sami arrives at Rafe's, wanting to know if they still have a chance. She's crushed when Rafe cuts things off with her, saying they can't be together. She presses to know what's changed - but he is unable to tell her that EJ is blackmailing him, and he's doing this for Gabi's sake. Meanwhile, EJ learns from Daniel that Melanie has left town... and this throws a wrench into his efforts to reunite her with Chad. Nicole arrives and it becomes tense among the three of them. EJ leaves, knowing he has to figure out his next move.
