Marco informs EJ of Rafe's escape. EJ thinks he knows where their prisoner has gone. Meanwhile, an injured Rafe slowly makes his way to Sami, who's celebrating Valentine's Day with the imposter. Sami and "Rafe" start to make love just as the real Rafe appears outside the loft. EJ offers Nicole an engagement ring, even though his mind is on Taylor. At the same time, Taylor has a fantasy about EJ. She drops by the mansion to show Nicole her bridesmaid dress and just misses seeing EJ. Taylor rhapsodizes with Nicole about the wonderful mystery man she met on the pier. She hopes she'll see him again someday. Kate and Stefano have Valentine's dinner at Chez Rouge. They see Chad applying for a job. Stefano tries to reconnect with his son and schedules a time for them to meet. Gabi and Will, on their first real date, see Chad and invite him to join them. Chad declines and goes. Alone in the forest, Chad finds a torn picture of Allie that Rafe has accidentally dropped. Back at Chez Rouge, Gabi tells Will how Rafe has been distant since his accident. Will makes her feel better, and they share a sweet Valentine's kiss. Melanie resets her plan with Kate to take Parker away from Chloe and raise him with Philip. Melanie goes to see Philip and tells him she wants to give their relationship another chance. Philip is thrilled, though privately, she is conflicted.
