Sami is thrilled to be getting shared custody of the kids with EJ. Rafe admits he was wary, but the custody papers all seem in order. Sami and Rafe start to make love, but get interrupted by Sydney. Sami has a moment alone with Sydney and tells her how things are all finally working out for them. Meanwhile, Nicole questions EJ about the noise from the basement. EJ doesn't confide in her and says it's almost time for the signing of the custody papers. Nicole thinks Sami isn't going to like all the terms. When Sami and Rafe meet with EJ, Sami's ready to sign until Nicole comes in. Sami is stunned EJ is still marrying Nicole, and stipulating in a new addendum that Nicole has rights to the kids if anything happens to him. Sami explodes and almost comes to blows with Nicole. Rafe tries to talk her down because he believes it's the best deal they're going to get. Furious, Sami refuses to sign and storms out. Philip finds Chloe out drinking alone and wonders where their son is. Chloe says Parker's with Maggie. They exchange words over changing Parker's name. Philip thinks Chloe isn't herself. Maggie shows up with Parker, and reveals that Chloe was supposed to pick him up over an hour ago. Philip takes Parker out for a walk as Chloe admits to Maggie her life is falling apart and how hard it is to take care of the baby. Maggie, alarmed, insists that Chloe and Parker stay with her for the night. Kate brings Melanie a gift for her soon-to-be grandchild. Melanie tells Kate to forget about her and Philip getting back together. Kate plays on Melanie's past of growing up without her father and tells her she must put her child first. Then she introduces the idea of Melanie and Philip raising Parker as well, as brother to their child. Melanie says she's not interested, and Chloe wouldn't give up Parker anyway. However, Kate's wheels are turning... Jennifer steals Ben's prison infirmary key, and breaks in to find files on the dead inmates. She's almost caught by Jane and Lee but manages to take photos of the files and slip out. Later, Jennifer looks at the files and realizes she needs a doctor to decode them. She eyes Ben when he returns to the Brady Pub looking for his keys. Jennifer plays innocent and Ben finds his keychain, but Jennifer keeps the infirmary key. A mysterious woman makes plans to come to Salem while looking at pictures of Nicole.
