EJ finds Taylor and learns she's taken the Titan job. EJ thinks this is a huge mistake as he's certain Brady will use Taylor to get to him and Nicole. Taylor lays into EJ and tells him not to be so impressed with himself. She won't let Brady use her, nor would she ever hurt EJ or Nicole. As she goes to leave, he grabs her and there's a connection. Daniel explains to Nathan that Melanie needs space. If he truly loves her, he'll back off. However, Nathan thinks differently. At the same time, Carly talks to Melanie, who insists on speaking with Nathan. Melanie finally cuts Nathan loose. She tells him she needs to take the next step in her life alone and she can't go back to him or Philip. Nathan argues, but an upset Melanie begs him to accept her choice. He refuses to give up. Hope worries about her future. She's no longer a cop and she's at loose ends. Bo tries to reassure her. At the police station, Carly runs into Bo and has a rough time seeing him with Hope. Hope thanks Carly for being so understanding and graceful about everything. Later, Hope manages to help Bo with a case. Abigail pushes for Jennifer to go after Daniel, but Jennifer says Jack isn't completely out of the picture yet. Besides, she wants to put Daniel and Carly together. Later, Carly breaks down in Jennifer's arms, still heartbroken about Bo. Jennifer, seeing an opportunity, pushes her friend in Daniel's direction, and he indeed comforts Carly. Kate urges Chad to forge a relationship with Stefano, but Chad dismisses the idea. Meanwhile, Will introduces Gabi to his cousin Abigail. The girls get to know each other, and Abigail explains she met a guy already, but he was a jerk. Later, the group goes to the Java Café, and Chad shows up. Abigail is shocked to learn the "jerk" she met was Will and Gabi's friend, Chad.
