EJ's frustrations about his feelings for Taylor come to a boiling point, and he forces himself to leave. Taylor has fantasies of EJ and feels as emotionally trapped as he does. Stefano learns EJ is in love with Taylor. While not negating the delicacy of the situation, he suggests if EJ has an itch, he should scratch it - especially if Taylor is willing. EJ goes back to Taylor with a solution. He wants her and he wants her now. Imposter Rafe, on a combo of anti-anxiety medication and alcohol, gets closer to telling Sami the truth. In his rush of feeling, he wants to make love first, but Sami stops him to own up to slipping him his meds. Imposter Rafe, forcing focus despite the drugs, verbally attacks Sami, saying if they don't have honesty, they have nothing! He demands Sami leave him alone and he passes out. Sami becomes upset and begins to realize their relationship is in serious jeopardy. Dario, off of what Stephanie told him about Melanie's shady past, misreads a Daniel and Melanie moment and decides on a little payback. His plan backfires and Daniel punches Dario, who learns he is Melanie's father. Melanie is furious and embarrassed at the way her past was revealed to her father. Later, Dario learns Melanie will be rich off of her divorce from Philip. Meanwhile, Daniel's bandaged hand draws a strong response from Jennifer and the two grow closer, realizing both of them have taken off their wedding rings. Abigail reassures Jennifer about Chad, but she realizes she is mistaken when Chad announces he's moving in with Stefano. Abigail says goodbye to Chad, feeling they can no longer be friends.
