Stefano fears EJ is falling in love with Nicole. EJ denies it and makes it sound more like he's settling. Stefano wonders if it's enough. EJ isn't interested in love, says he's happy with the life he'll have with Nicole and the children. In the meantime, Nicole tells Chloe she thinks she and EJ might have a chance at falling in love again. Nicole goes home to EJ and they make love. After EJ leaves, Stefano tells Nicole there's something she needs to know about her husband-to-be. At the pier, EJ bumps into Taylor, and the sparks fly... Chloe is stricken when Nicole asks her to be her maid-of-honor. However, she tries hard to be happy for Nicole and keep her act together. After Nicole leaves, Chloe bakes cookies and is interrupted when she gets a call from the pharmacy about Parker's medication. Not wanting to disturb Parker, Chloe decides to leave him by himself while she picks up the meds. However, she forgets that she has left the oven on with the cookies inside. Parker is alone in his baby basket when smoke starts seeping from the oven. Hope prepares for her hearing, and she and Bo fear the judge will send her back to prison. Bo goes to Victor for help in getting Hope out. Victor refuses because he knows Hope wouldn't want that. Bo has to fight for Hope's freedom himself, and tells Hope the impassioned plea he plans to make before the judge. After the hearing, Justin gives Bo and Hope the good news – she won't be going back to prison. Bo and Hope are overjoyed, and after Justin leaves, Bo finally tells Hope he loves her and he wants her to come home with him. Abe and Lexie are delighted by Taylor's connection with Theo.
